Epic (2013) Movie Review

What's up gang! Migs here, and today I am going to review the new movie "Epic"

Epic is an animated movie which was directed by Chris Wedge. This movie stars Colin Farrell as Ronin, Amanda Seyfried as Mary Katherine (a.k.a M.K.), and Josh Hutcherson as Nod.

The story (how I understood it)
M.K. when she receives the royal pod
The story goes that right after her mother passed away, M.K. was sent to live with her father in the woods. One day, as M.K. was chasing her dog whom ran to the forrest, she finds these little people/creatures whom her father was looking for all these years. She was given a pod (not sure how to spell it though) by a little dying queen and eventually turns into a little person herself. She now has the duty to protect the pod along with two leaf men and two slugs (specifically 1 slug and 1 snail) from evil.

Review
This movie was good. Not epic, but good. I personally like the story of this movie. But the plot wasn't something new. I have literally seen over 100 movies with the same plot as epic. Never the less it was still a good movie. I didn't like M.K. that much. The only reason why is because I could definitely see Bela Swan in her. She definitely acts like a "damsel in distress". On second thought, the story of epic is kinda like Twilight, and I know most of you hate Twilight, but that's how I saw it. I also don't like that the name of this movie is epic. I mean "epic"? Are you serious? That movie wasn't epic. How dare they use that word. Avengers, the Batman trilogy, and Star Wars was epic. Not this movie. But I still found this movie pretty good. It has a mix of action, romance, adventure, drama, and comedy.

All in all, I found this movie pretty good. But I don't think that this movie deserves it's name. But I hope that someday in the future, I could see an amazing animated movie that is really different from the others and deserves the name epic.

Star Trek Into Darkness (2013) Movie Review

What's up gang! Migs here. Today I will be reviewing 'Star Trek Into Darkness'

Yesterday, my family and I watched the new movie 'Star Trek Into Darkness' which was directed by JJ Abrams. This movie is a sequel to the movie 'Star Trek' which was released on April 6, 2009 and which was also directed by Abrams. I have to say, from a kid's point of view, this movie was EPIC.

This stars Chris Pine as Captain James T. Kirk, Benedict Cumberbatch as Khan, and Zachary Quinto as our ever-lovable Spock.

"The brash James T. Kirk tries to live up to his father's legacy with Mr. Spock keeping him in check as a vengeful, time-traveling Romulan creates black holes to destroy the Federation one planet at a time."  (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0796366/)

The way I understand, this story is all about revenge. This movie is quite similar to it's prequel 'Star Trek'. The movie itself is quite amazing. Amazing cast, amazing director, and amazing CGI. This will make you laugh, cry, and smile. To me, the only bad thing about this movie is the too much use of lens flares and the cheesy conversations between Spock and Captain Kirk. But I have to give Abrams credit, he made it look good.

All in all, this movie is definetly worth your time. This will make Star Wars fans love Star Trek. And as for those Star Wars fans who are worried about the new Star Wars film, don't be. We have the right guy for the job.

I wonder what Sheldon Cooper will say after he watches this movie...

The New WWE Championship Belt

What's up gang! Migs here, and I would just like to say welcome to my blog. The place where I write reviews about movies and movie props.

Today, I would just like to give my truthful thoughts on the new WWE championship belt. This belt was unveiled last February by WWE superstar Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson on Monday Night Raw. The very first time I actually saw this belt was on Facebook. The very first thing that came to my mind was: "It's soooo... different". So I did some research on this belt on Safari and YouTube, and I was really quite surprised. And it kept me thinking, WHAT'S NEXT? I mean what's going to happen to the WWE. I personally think that the old WWE Championship Belt was better. This was the belt I grew up with. I thought that that belt was a piece of art. I mean, hell, I've made three of those belts, and it was my very first homemade belt, it will surely be missed.

As for the new WWE Belt, when I first saw it, I thought that it was very ugly, but just like when Raw changes it's theme, I got used to it. The main plate is very beautiful. It simply looks like a championship belt. But I think that the big WWE logo in the center plate has to much diamonds. I would prefer just one big diamond that is the shape of the WWE. At least that would look better.

As for the side plates, I prefer that they just make the real one look like the replica one. I prefer one normal side plate rather than a customized side plate for whoever is holding the championship. I just think that's too much work

All in all, I think the  new WWE Championship Belt is amazing. But the spinner belt will always special place in my heart.
